Coinbase ETH2 Staking: Earn 6% APR & Secure Ethereum
You can earn 6% APR on Coinbase by staking ETH2. First, join the waitlist for ETH staking on Coinbase. Then, when approved you can stake your ETH.
Here is how it works:
- Ethereum 2.0 is an upgrade to the Etehreum protocol to make it faster and more secure. Part of the upgrade includes staking, which means you get ETH for locking up ETH (a process that helps to validate the network). When you stake ETH on Coinbase, your ETH will be upgraded to ETH2.
- You can stake any amount you want, and you won’t be subject to slashing fees (an aspect of ETH2 where some ETH is burned when network rules are broken).
- After the upgrade is complete you’ll be able to sell your ETH2 and your rewards, but it’ll be locked until then.
To get started staking ETH2, first create a Coinbase account (use this link to get $5 free when you sign up https://coinbase-consumer.sjv.io/b3b0gk), and then use the following link: https://www.coinbase.com/price/ethereum-2.
