Large-Cap Mutual Funds: Investing in Stability and Growth
The large cap mutual fund is a mutual fund that invests in companies with market capitalization. A large cap mutual fund invests in companies that have market capitalization of at least $10 billion. These are some of the biggest companies in the world and have substantial assets.
Stability
Mutual funds that invest in large cap corporations do so because of the stability that it provides for investors. The likelihood of a large cap company filing for bankruptcy is very small. Usually, you can expect consistent returns by investing in these types of stocks in most cases.
Dividends
One of the major benefits of investing in large corporations is that they offer consistent dividends. While large cap companies tend to have limited growth potential, they will often be able to share substantial amounts of profit with shareholders. When a mutual fund receives a dividend from the stocks that it owns it will distribute a dividend equally among the shareholders. Therefore, with this type of investment, you can benefit from a relatively stable security and create a source a residual income for yourself.
