Chase recently launched the Chase Freedom Flex℠, and is offering 5% cash back on bonus categories up to $1,500 in combined purchase each quarter you activate.

Chase has recently released their first quarter bonus category for 2022! When activated by March 14th of 2022, cardholders will receive 5% cash back on purchases (up to $1,500 combined) made at grocery stores (excluding Target® and Walmart®) or on eBay.

While the Chase Freedom Flex℠ is great for cash back rewards, it also offers many other benefits. Here’s what else the Chase Freedom Flex℠ offers:

A great current sign-up bonus offer

The Chase Freedom Flex℠ is offering new cardmembers a $200 cash bonus after you spend $500 on purchases in the first three months of your account opening. While that’s not the grandest reward, the spend minimum is much lower than other cards.

No annual fee

Many rewards cards come with annual fees, but not the Chase Freedom Flex℠. That said, there are other fees associated with the card. For example, there’s a 3% foreign transaction fee, so for frequent travelers – especially international travelers – we recommend other travel rewards cards.

Low intro APR

You’ll get a 0% Intro APR on Purchases for 15 months. After that, the APR is 17.24% - 25.99% Variable. This isn’t the highest APR for a rewards card, but it is still fairly steep if you don’t have excellent credit.

For those who must keep a balance on their card from month to month, try these cards instead.

Other generous bonuses

In addition to the bonus 5% cash back and the 5% back on travel purchases, you can also earn 5% cash back on Lyft rides through 3/31/2025.

And if that’s not enough to entice you, you’ll also get three months of DashPass, DoorDash’s subscription service that offers unlimited deliveries for free (on orders over $12). After that, you are automatically enrolled in DashPass at 50% off for the next nine months. Just make sure to activate this offer by 12/31/2024.
