Understanding Your Teletrack Report: A Guide Before Taking Out a Payday Loan
Payday loan companies often advertise "No Teletrack." If you apply for a payday loan, the lender usually does not request a credit report from the big three credit bureaus, but it may check your Teletrack report. Teletrack documents your loan activities just like the other credit bureaus. Just like those bureaus, Teletrack may sometimes reflect inaccurate information. You may request a free copy of your Teletrack report and correct any errors.
Step 1
Visit the CoreLogic Teletrack website at teletrack.com and click on "Consumers." In the second paragraph of the resulting page, click on "here" to download the consumer report request form.
Step 2
Complete the form, sign it and mail it — along with a photocopy of your driver's license — to:
CoreLogic Teletrack 5550-A Peachtree Parkway, Suite 600 Norcross, GA 30092 Attention: Customer Service
Step 3
Examine the report upon receipt and — if you detect erroneous information — call CoreLogic Teletrack at 1-877-309-5226. Tell a customer service representative that you want to initiate an investigation. There is no charge. The investigation may take several weeks, but ultimately either the reporting business must verify the accuracy of information provided to CoreLogic Teletrack or the contested information must be removed.
