Nevada Timeshare Agent Licensing Requirements & Renewal

A timeshare agent license is required to make a sale or solicit sales of timeshares in Nevada. Licenses must be renewed every two years, and renewal requires six hours of continuing education. Timeshare agents are regulated by the Nevada Department of Business and Industry's Real Estate Division.
Education
You must complete 14 hours of training by a provider authorized by the State of Nevada Department of Business and Industry, Real Estate Division. The approved list can be found at red.state.nv.us/forms/502.pdf.
Exam
You must pass the Nevada timeshare test administered on a computer by PSI. It is a 90-minute test, and taking it costs $100.
Background Check
You must be fingerprinted and have a background investigative report done on you.
Application
You need to fill out Form 519--Timeshare Agent License Application. It is a seven-page document and requires a notarized signature. You must submit this form, all the other paperwork required, and a $175 fee to an office of the State of Nevada Department of Business and Industry, Real Estate Division.
