DoubleLine Total Return Bond is a bond fund that invests in ortgage-backed securities with intermediate-term maturities.
Bond gurus Jeffrey Gundlach and Philip Barach pair complementary types of mortgage-backed securities. Government-guaranteed bonds, which are high in credit quality but sensitive to swings in interest rates, are balanced with non-agency mortgage securities, which bear a higher risk of default but less interest-rate risk. (Bond prices typically fall when rates rise, and vice versa. The fund yields 3.4%.
