Fall is my ABSOLUTE favorite season! I love the way the temperature is crisp. There is gorgeous fall foliage on the trees. And of course, the fall decorating of the front porch. We are so lucky to experience all four seasons in New York.

But when it comes to decorating, as the other half of The Savvy Couple, I am always looking for DIY’s and savvy ways to repurpose items I can use to decorate.

I searched Pinterest for the best fall front porch ideas and DIY’s for you to use for your front entrance. Amazon even has some cheap fall decor ideas you should check out. Here are 15 incredible fall front porch ideas that are perfect for the upcoming season and cost-effective.

1. Wooden Milk Crate with Pumpkins

A lot of what you see in the pictures below are items that you may have already in your house. A simple wooden milk crate can be stained and weatherproofed for outdoor conditions. The pumpkins are simple and the floral arrangements can be picked up at a thrift store. Perfect for a small front porch and still can invite the fall season.

2. Lanterns Filled with Pumpkins and Gourds or Flameless Candle

So simple, yet so perfect for fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving. A decoration that can be set out on the front porch and left for months and still be enjoyed. Very cost effective! Find the lanterns at a thrift shop and fill them with pumpkins, gourds, and pinecones. I found a great set over on Amazon you can use year after year.

Nothing says fall more than mums. They are full of color and instantly dress up any space to a fall feeling. Old chairs are so easy to come by. Whether you picked one up at a garage sale or you went to your grandma’s house, you can get a chair to dress up.

We are lucky enough to live in a rural-ish area with a lot of farmers around us. By going directly to a farmer, you can get hay bails for cheap!
